THE AIM OF THE COURSE IS TO:
The 360 Excavator course is designed to provide candidates with the essential theoretical knowledge and practical skills required to operate the machine safely and efficiently. The training ensures participants develop the competence to carry out operations in accordance with NPORS standards.
WHO DO WE RECOMMEND ATTENDS THE COURSE?
The 360 Excavator Course is suitable for individuals who operate or intend to operate a 360 excavator as part of their work duties, including plant operators, construction workers, and site personnel. It is also suitable for those seeking NPORS certification or wishing to enhance their existing operating skills and knowledge.
COURSE SUMMARY

Understanding the role and responsibilities of a plant operator within the construction industry.

Identifying principal components, controls, and terminology.

Complying with manufacturer’s requirements, legislation, and regulations.

Completing pre-use checks and configuring the excavator for travel and work.

Travelling safely over various terrains and manoeuvring in confined spaces.

Setting up for and carrying out excavating, grading, and loading operations.

Managing hazards, underground, and overhead services.

Attaching and removing buckets and handling basic slung loads.

Performing shutdown, securing, and machine transport procedures.
- NPORS Theory & Practical Assessments
LOCATIONS
Training and testing can be carried out at our training centre, or at your site premises providing site specifications can be met.
COURSE DURATION
Experienced candidates may undertake a one-day ‘test only’ assessment to demonstrate their competence. Training duration depends on group size and individual experience; however, novice operators typically require around 10 days of training on the 360 Excavator, which may be reduced for those with prior experience.
HEALTH & SAFETY TRAINING / TESTING
Candidates are required to have passed the CITB Health, Safety & Environmental test within the past 24 months to obtain the NPORS CSCS Trained Operator card. This test is not mandatory for the Traditional card but can be added upon request.
TESTING / CERTIFICATION
All candidates will complete the Full NPORS Theory & Practical Test and on successful completion will be issued with A 5 year NPORS Traditional Operator card or a 2 year NPORS CSCS Trained Operator card.
