THE AIM OF THE COURSE IS TO:
The IPAF Mobile Scissor 3A Course is a training programme designed to provide operators with the knowledge and practical skills required to safely operate Mobile Scissor (3A) Mobile Elevating Work Platforms (MEWPs).
WHAT IS A MOBILE SCISSOR (3A)?
Mobile Scissor 3A machines are self-propelled vertical lifting platforms that can be driven while elevated (where manufacturer guidance permits). They provide vertical access only, with no horizontal outreach. These machines are commonly used in construction, warehousing, facilities management, and maintenance environments, both indoors and outdoors depending on the model.
COURSE CONTENT
The course combines classroom-based theory with practical training and assessment. Topics typically include:

DURATION & CERTIFICATION
The course is typically completed within one day, depending on the number of candidates and prior experience.
Upon successful completion, candidates are issued with an IPAF PAL Card (Powered Access Licence), which is valid for five years.
