THE AIM OF THIS QUALIFICATION:
The aim of a Level 2 Lifting Operations VQ (Vocational Qualification) is to assess learners who have the knowledge, skills, and practical competence to safely prepare, sling and guide loads during lifting operations. It confirms that individuals can select the correct lifting equipment, communicate effectively with crane operators, and follow safe working practices on site.
WHO DO WE RECOMMEND FOR THIS QUALIFICATION?
The Level 2 Lifting Operations Slinger/Signaller VQ is recommended for anyone involved in lifting operations, including attaching loads, guiding cranes, and supporting lifting teams on construction or industrial sites.
THE CANDIDATE MUST BE ABLE TO:

CERTIFICATION
Upon successful completion, candidates receive a site‑assessed SVQ Lifting Operations certification, verifying their competence, skills, and knowledge in Lifting operations safely and effectively. The certification is nationally recognised and demonstrates compliance with industry and health and safety standards.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Candidates must have successfully completed a CSCS Health & Safety test within the last 24 months and hold a current, valid CPCS or NPORS trained operator card to be eligible to start the VQ.
