THE AIM OF THIS QUALIFICATION:
The aim of a Level 2 Plant Operations VQ (Vocational Qualification) is to assess learners who have the knowledge, skills, and practical competence to operate plant machinery safely and efficiently in a variety of construction or civil engineering environments, ensuring compliance with legal, health, and safety standards.
WHO DO WE RECOMMEND FOR THIS QUALIFICATION?
The Level 2 Plant Operations VQ should be attended by individuals who operate, plant machinery on construction or civil engineering sites, including plant operators.
THE CANDIDATE MUST BE ABLE TO:

CERTIFICATION
Upon successful completion, candidates receive a site‑assessed SVQ Plant Operations certification, verifying their competence, skills, and knowledge in operating plant machinery safely and effectively. The certification is nationally recognised and demonstrates compliance with industry and health and safety standards.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Candidates must have successfully completed a CSCS Health & Safety test within the last 24 months and hold a current, valid CPCS or NPORS trained operator card to be eligible to start the VQ.
