THE AIM OF THE COURSE IS TO:
The Loading Shovel training course is designed to provide candidates with the essential theoretical and practical knowledge required to safely and efficiently operate the machine in accordance with NPORS standards.
WHO DO WE RECOMMEND ATTENDS THE COURSE?
A Loading Shovel course is recommended for new or experienced operators, supervisors, and workers who operate or oversee loading shovels in construction, quarrying, waste management, or industrial environments.
COURSE SUMMARY

Identify main components, controls, and terminology

Follow manufacturer’s guidelines and relevant legislation

Perform pre-use checks and prepare for site or road travel

Operate safely on various terrains, laden and unladen

Manoeuvre in confined areas and set up for loading tasks

Recognize and respond to hazards and services

Extract, load, and sort different materials

Form stockpiles, ramps, and level ground

Carry out shutdown, securing, and transport procedures

Training and testing can be carried out at your site premises providing site specifications can be met.
COURSE DURATION
HEALTH & SAFETY TRAINING / TESTING
Candidates are required to have passed the CITB Health, Safety & Environmental test within the past 24 months to obtain the NPORS CSCS Trained Operator card. This test is not mandatory for the Traditional card but can be added upon request.
TESTING / CERTIFICATION
All candidates will complete the Full NPORS Theory & Practical Test and on successful completion will be issued with A 5 year NPORS Traditional Operator card or a 2 year NPORS CSCS Trained Operator card.
