THE AIM OF THE COURSE IS TO:
The Marine Knuckle Boom Crane course is designed to provide candidates with the essential theoretical and practical knowledge required to safely and efficiently operate the machine in accordance with NPORS standards.
WHO DO WE RECOMMEND ATTENDS THE COURSE?
A Marine Knuckle Boom Crane course is recommended for new or experienced operators, deck crew, engineers, and supervisors who operate or oversee lifting operations using knuckle boom cranes in marine, offshore, port, or shipyard environments.

- Roles and responsibilies of the machine operator
- Introduction to the machine and Pre – Operational safety inspections
- Preparing for working tasks
- Travelling, manoeuvring & operating the machine to accredited standard
- Setting up and shutting down procedures
- NPORS Theory & Practical Assessments
LOCATIONS
Training and testing can be carried out at our training centre, or at your site premises providing site specifications can be met.
COURSE DURATION
1- 2 days depending on experience and candidate numbers
HEALTH & SAFETY TRAINING / TESTING
Candidates are required to have passed the CITB Health, Safety & Environmental test within the past 24 months to obtain the NPORS CSCS Trained Operator card. This test is not mandatory for the Traditional card but can be added upon request.
TESTING / CERTIFICATION
All candidates will complete the Full NPORS Theory & Practical Test and on successful completion will be issued with A 5 year NPORS Traditional Operator card or a 2 year NPORS CSCS Trained Operator card.
