THE AIM OF THE COURSE IS TO:
The MEWP Boom (Mobile Elevated Work Platform) training course is designed to provide candidates with the essential theoretical and practical knowledge required to safely and efficiently operate the machine in accordance with NPORS standards.
WHO DO WE RECOMMEND ATTENDS THE COURSE?
A MEWP Boom course is recommended for new or experienced operators, supervisors, and site personnel who use or oversee mobile elevated work platforms in construction, maintenance, warehousing, or industrial environments.
COURSE SUMMARY

Identify main components, controls, and terminology

Follow manufacturer’s guidelines and safety regulations

Perform pre-use and emergency checks

Configure and operate for site travel and access duties

Travel safely on level, uneven, and inclined surfaces

Manoeuvre in confined areas and position platform accurately

Recognize hazards and operate at full height safely

Complete shutdown and securing procedures

LOCATIONS
Training and testing can be carried out at our training centre, or at your site premises providing site specifications can be met.
COURSE DURATION
1 Day
Candidates are required to have passed the CITB Health, Safety & Environmental test within the past 24 months to obtain the NPORS CSCS Trained Operator card. This test is not mandatory for the Traditional card but can be added upon request.
TESTING / CERTIFICATION
All candidates will complete the Full NPORS Theory & Practical Test and on successful completion will be issued with A 5 year NPORS Traditional Operator card or a 2 year NPORS CSCS Trained Operator card.
