THE AIM OF THE COURSE:
The aim of the Scottish Water DOMS (Distribution Operations & Maintenance Strategy) course is to ensure that all individuals working on or adjacent to the water distribution network adopt a consistent, standardised approach to safeguarding drinking‑water quality across Scotland.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND THIS COURSE
The Scottish Water DOMS course is for staff, engineers, and contractors working on or near the water distribution network. It ensures they meet Scottish Water’s standards for safety, hygiene, and operational procedures and are competent to carry out maintenance and repairs safely.

- Candidates complete a multiple-choice assessment at the end of the course
COURSE DURATION
1/2 Day
CERTIFICATION
Upon successful completion of the Scottish Water DOMS course, candidates will be registered on the Energy & Utility Skills (EUSR) Register, with registrations valid for three years from the date of training. They will also receive a Virtual EUSR Registration card, along with the Scottish Water DOMS certificate, demonstrating their competency to carry out operations, maintenance, and repairs on the water distribution network safely and in compliance with all standards.
