The aim of an NPORS Plant Loader Securer Course is to train participants to safely and effectively secure plant machinery for transport, focusing on load restraint, hazard awareness, and compliance with safety regulations.
The NPORS Plant Loader Securer Course is recommended for operators, drivers, and site personnel responsible for loading, securing, and transporting plant machinery safely. It is also suitable for supervisors and employers ensuring compliance with transport and safety regulations.
Understand industry hazards and operative responsibilities.
Know the manufacturer’s handbook and relevant legislation.
Identify transport types, components, and controls.
Conduct pre-operational and safety checks.
Assess and manage hazards in loading/unloading areas.
Prepare transport vehicles for safe loading and unloading.
Use effective communication during operations.
Load, direct, and secure plant machinery safely.
Complete end-of-shift and shutdown procedures.
Training and testing can be carried out at our training centre, or at your site premises providing site specifications can be met.
1- 2 days depending on experience and candidate numbers
Candidates are required to have passed the CITB Health, Safety & Environmental test within the past 24 months to obtain the NPORS CSCS Trained Operator card. This test is not mandatory for the Traditional card but can be added upon request.
All candidates will complete the Full NPORS Theory & Practical Test and on successful completion will be issued with A 5 year NPORS Traditional Operator card or a 2 year NPORS CSCS Trained Operator card.
Forde Training is a registered ATO and can automatically claim any applicable grants upon successful completion of this course.
