THE AIM OF THE COURSE IS TO:

The aim of the NPORS Telescopic Handler – Suspended Loads Course is to provide candidates with the knowledge and practical skills required to safely lift, move, and place suspended loads using a telescopic handler, ensuring compliance with lifting regulations, safe working practices, and NPORS standards.

WHO DO WE RECOMMEND ATTENDS THE COURSE?

The NPORS Telescopic Handler – Suspended Loads Course is recommended for trained telescopic handler operators, site personnel, and supervisors who are required to lift and move suspended loads, as well as those seeking to enhance their skills and obtain NPORS certification for safe and competent operation.

COURSE SUMMARY

  • Provides candidates with the knowledge and skills to safely handle suspended loads using a telescopic handler.

  • Covers pre-use inspections, safe lifting operations, and post-use procedures.

  • Teaches correct use of lifting accessories, slinging techniques, and load stability principles.

  • Includes practical training on manoeuvring, positioning, and controlling suspended loads.

  • Highlights common hazards and methods to prevent accidents during lifting operations.

LOCATIONS

Training and testing can be carried out at our training centre, or at your site premises providing site specifications can be met.

COURSE DURATION

1- 5 days depending on experience and candidate numbers

HEALTH & SAFETY TRAINING / TESTING

Candidates are required to have passed the CITB Health, Safety & Environmental test within the past 24 months to obtain the NPORS CSCS Trained Operator card. This test is not mandatory for the Traditional card but can be added upon request.

TESTING / CERTIFICATION

All candidates will complete the Full NPORS Theory & Practical Test and on successful completion will be issued with A 5 year NPORS Traditional Operator card or a 2 year NPORS CSCS Trained Operator card.

Forde Training is a registered ATO and can automatically claim any applicable grants upon successful completion of this course.
